Tom gave a Priesthood blessing to a non-member Mother of 3. After going through a divorce and in need of an expensive operation, Yvette doesn't have the money for a life saving operation. Tom and I happened to meet her while buying fruit (oranges & grapefruit) from her mother. We were surprised by the request. Tom didn't have any oil and another Priesthood holder, but he gave her a blessing of comfort. He told her that God loves her and that she is His child. We offered to bring the younger Missionaries the next day with oil. She excepted. The Missionaries administered to her and also told Yvette that Heavenly Father loves her. The younger Elders were able to get a return appointment to teach the Gospel to them. We pray for her and pray that she can get her operation.
Thursday we went to Brownsville and found out when we got there that they were shampooing the carpets and we couldn't be in the building. We had talked about stopping and taking a picture of a water tower that is painted like a golf ball. We stopped on our way back to Harlingen and took pictures. Rancho Viejo is a Resort and Country club. They have a water tower that is painted like a golf ball on a tee. It was fun driving around the beautiful golf course and seeing all the beautiful houses, lakes, and putting greens. We took pictures of the crossing signs and a few of the golfers.

We went to a Valentine's party on Friday night with 3 other Sr. couples. We arrived in McAllen (an hour away) at 7pm and found out that they had told us the wrong day. The party was really on Saturday. The Senior Couple giving the party hurriedly called the other couples and we had the party a day early. It was a lot of fun to be with other senior couples.

Saturday (02/13/2016), we said good bye to the Zetterquists. They have helped us so much and we will miss them terribly. We have had the chance to learn from their experience about how to be Employment Specialist Missionaries. They taught us some do's and don'ts and what works and what doesn't. They have touched a lot of lives during their Mission and will be sorely missed. They gave us their keys to their office in McAllen. We will pass the keys to the new Senior Couple coming in March.

Sunday, we went to 3 Sacrament Meetings (2 in English, 1 in Spanish) in Weslaco and we were really tired afterward. Sundays' seem to be one of our longest days. We left at 8:30am and got back home about 3pm. We carried on a conversation with a member in Spanish. He could not speak English, but both Tom and I could understand most of what he was saying. With smiles and many thank-yous, it was an encouraging conversation. We still need to practice our Spanish. With help from the MTC, members, and others, it is really making a difference. Sherrie talked to her MTC Study Buddy today. Skype is wonderful.
We hope and pray for your safety and happiness.
Love. ..............Elder & Sister Clark.
